These funds go to support the school in providing learning activities which include:
  • Edudance in term 1
  • Mathletics
  • Naidoc activities including the whole school sausage sizzle
  • Excursions: Museum in term 2
  • Incursions: Inspector Pickles in term 3
  • Transport: lightning and interschool carnival and we subsidise the buses for swimming lessons
  • Whole school rewards and mystery events
  • The Uniform and Organisation Reward Incentive: term 3 and many more!
With less and less families paying their contributions, we will have to consider whether we can still provide these opportunities in 2009.
 
These are overdue and it is disappointing that we have only had contributions paid for approximately 50 students this year which equates to $1370. With our primary enrolments around 240 students, this represents less than 25% of the possible contributions which would help support our school in providing resources and equipment for our students. When one considers that Edu-dance cost the school about $40 per student, the contributions collected at this point in time has not even covered this cost.
